Compare aluminum saw delivery terms by the rule, edition and precise handoff—not the machine price alone. Put the same equipment configuration beside each offer’s loading and transport scope, then identify work that still needs a separate quotation. An unexplained difference in delivery boundaries is not a demonstrated saving.

Match aluminum saw delivery terms to a named handoff
ICC’s Incoterms® 2020 overview describes an allocation of obligations, costs and risk. This article uses that edition and summarizes only selected delivery points. Consult the applicable rule for its full provisions.
Copy the quoted notation, then ask for the full named place or shipment port and the agreed point within it. Request an address or terminal identifier where relevant; do not fill a missing pickup location with the address from a website. Identify the quotation revision to which the answer belongs.
In the purchasing record, keep machine completion, release for collection, delivery under the stated rule, physical arrival, installation and acceptance separately named. Ask what “ready” or “released” means in a reply, who confirms that event and which record supports it. A logistics milestone does not answer a question about installation acceptance.

Compare the delivery boundary before the price
ICC’s EXW/FCA passages and FOB passages support this selected summary, which omits full obligations and exceptions.
| Rule and location | Ordinary delivery boundary | Loading distinction | Export formalities, where applicable |
|---|---|---|---|
| EXW — named place | Goods available for the buyer at the agreed location and point. | Pickup-vehicle loading is outside the seller’s delivery duty. | Buyer; clarify the seller’s assistance. |
| FCA — seller’s premises | Goods loaded onto transport arranged by the buyer. | Seller loads. | Seller. |
| FCA — another named place | Goods arrive on the seller’s vehicle at the agreed point, available to the buyer’s nominated carrier or other recipient. | Ready to unload; unloading is not required to complete delivery. | Seller. |
| FOB — named shipment port | Goods aboard the vessel designated by the buyer. | Vessel loading is within delivery. | Seller. |
FOB concerns sea or inland-waterway delivery aboard a vessel. ICC’s notes direct users to consider FCA when the carrier handoff occurs earlier, such as at a container terminal. The distinction concerns the actual handoff, not a blanket ban on containers or machinery. Have the parties examine their arrangement; this article selects no rule for your shipment.
If an EXW seller helps load, request clarification; that assistance alone does not establish different terms or liability.

Complete a machine-quote responsibility sheet
Use one sheet for the same requested machine and accessories. Choose a common destination for the commercial comparison, without changing the delivery point stated in either offer. Preserve each original quotation alongside the response that clarifies it.
The cells below are instructions for collecting answers, not actual supplier statements. Replace them with the quoted scope or not yet stated. The additional fields are procurement prompts; they are not activities automatically assigned by every three-letter rule.
| Item | Quote A | Quote B | Evidence or action still needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Machine/configuration and revision | Record the machine and included equipment. | Record the corresponding scope and any differences. | Match the item lists and quotation revisions before comparing delivery prices. |
| Full delivery notation | Copy the rule, edition, location and point. | Copy its own notation; do not carry A’s location across. | Request the missing place, port, point or edition. |
| Carrier or vessel arrangements | Name who arranges the relevant transport and the handoff contact. | Record the equivalent responsibility and contact. | Ask who coordinates the nominated recipient and collection information. |
| Loading and unloading | State each included activity and its location. | Record loading and unloading separately. | Clarify the responsible party, activity boundary and any separate charge. |
| Export formalities | Copy the responsible party and stated assistance. | Record the separately stated export scope. | Commercial/logistics staff identify the supporting documents and contact. |
| Transport legs | List the start and end of each included leg. | List included legs against the same intended journey. | Obtain quotations for gaps; flag overlapping charges before adding amounts. |
| Packing and marking | Reference the actual specification and packing-list revision. | Record its own specification and accessory coverage. | Request the stated crate or protection details rather than assuming them from a term. |
| Amount and purchasing basis | Record amount, currency, validity and separate charges. | Record the same fields, identifying bundled amounts. | Keep an unknown charge unknown, not zero; request its scope and validity. |
| Insurance arrangements | Record what is expressly stated, or leave unresolved. | Record its own statement without inferring coverage. | Seek separate confirmation from the responsible parties and insurance provider. |
| Destination services | Identify installation, commissioning and site-access scope. | Record inclusions, exclusions and responsible parties. | Request any separate service offer; keep installation acceptance independently defined. |
For each unanswered row, name the next respondent: equipment seller, logistics provider, buyer’s receiving team or another relevant party. A response assigning responsibility without pricing a required service resolves one question, not both.
Keep the packing reference specific to the machine and accessories being compared. Ask what the commercial offer supplies rather than treating an equipment picture as a crate specification. No lifting or unpacking method is defined by this worksheet.

Resolve an incomplete answer before ranking quotations
Fictional comparison: Offer A says only “EXW factory.” Offer B identifies FCA at a particular origin terminal and receiving point, with the 2020 edition stated. These are invented offers, not JiurunCut quotations or a recommendation between terms.
A leaves its exact collection location and point unidentified; B describes a different endpoint. Request A’s missing location and clarify the loading arrangement. For both, identify which transport work is included and obtain the missing prices needed for comparison to the same intended destination. B’s more specific wording does not, by itself, make it the better commercial offer.
Do not add a guessed freight allowance to A or treat either headline amount as the complete delivered-machine cost. Keep unpriced work visible and ask whether a returned logistics price overlaps an existing inclusion.
A reusable purchasing message—not a contract clause—could read:
For the identified machine configuration and quotation revision, please confirm the delivery rule and edition, complete named place or shipment port, and exact handoff point. Identify loading and any unloading responsibilities, export-formality scope and included transport legs. Show separately priced items, applicable packing references and unanswered points with their next contact. State installation and commissioning services separately.
The comparison can then end in one of three useful states. Comparable commercial scope means the equipment, handoffs and relevant inclusions are sufficiently identified for commercial review. Additional logistics quotation required means the boundary is understood but required work remains unpriced. Handoff not sufficiently identified means the next step is clarification, not a price ranking.
These are worksheet statuses, not contract approval or a complete landed-cost calculation. This article does not determine ownership, payment triggers, dispute outcomes, import eligibility, duties, taxes or insurance coverage. Confirm the actual arrangement with the parties and appropriate trade advisers.
Discuss the delivery scope for your saw proposal
Send JiurunCut the cutting application or proposed machine configuration, intended shipping destination and any delivery wording already received. Identify the missing scope; an initial inquiry does not require a completed freight comparison.
Clarify My Quoted Delivery Scope
Ask which commercial arrangement is offered for the specific proposal. This article does not state that JiurunCut offers EXW, FCA or FOB, particular packing or export services, or installation at the destination.
