Compare aluminum saw energy consumption only after identifying the equipment measured, the job completed and the recorded time window. A drive-power specification is not an energy result. Before dividing a reported total by output, ask whether both proposals include the same equipment and use the same definition of an accepted part.
Aluminum saw energy consumption: ratings and recorded energy

A brochure entry in kW states power, while a result in kWh expresses energy over a period. If a proposal supplies the former and a demonstration supplies the latter, request the missing context instead of treating them as interchangeable figures.
KASTO’s KASTOspeed M 9 page separately labels the saw-blade drive and hydraulic-pump drive power in kW. Those are component specifications for that named machine, not measured energy for a buyer’s job. Adding the ratings does not produce a measured-consumption result.
The Siemens SIMATIC Energy Suite V16.0 manual (11/2019), section 3.4.6.3, printed page 48, illustrates energy consumption as the change in an energy counter. It also relates average power over a duration to energy. The relevant input is the average for the period, not an assumed constant drive rating.
These examples explain the quantities; they do not establish installed metering or Siemens equipment on a JiurunCut saw. Ask whether the offered figure is a measured result, a value derived from stated measurements, or an estimate.
Name the equipment, job and elapsed period together

For the equipment boundary, list what the measurement actually includes. A saw alone and a saw with a separately powered extractor are different subjects. Keep auxiliaries named even when the equipment quotation bundles them together; commercial inclusion does not tell you whether their energy was measured.
Use the same material, section, required cut and acceptance basis for the comparison, while identifying each proposed machine configuration separately. A total for a different job needs clarification before it becomes evidence for yours.
Specify both timestamps and the events they represent. A cutting-only interval and a window that includes loading and normal waiting do not describe the same activity. Equal elapsed durations alone do not remove that difference. Request a record of the included states rather than assuming an unexplained demonstration covers the whole job.
Attach an energy-result scope record
Send the same fields to each supplier or measurement provider. This is a purchasing worksheet, not a prescribed test method or a machine audit. The entries below request evidence; they are not answers from a JiurunCut measurement.
| Record field | Supplier or measurement-provider statement |
|---|---|
| Configuration and job | Identify the proposed equipment, material/section, drawing or cut requirement, job mix and output definition to which the result applies. |
| Measurement boundary | Name the measured equipment and auxiliaries, with excluded equipment and services listed separately. |
| Energy source and units | Identify the record or meter and its units. Distinguish counter-based measurements, other derived values and estimates; explain the calculation basis. |
| Start and end | Give both timestamps and the agreed events defining the recorded window, not just its duration. |
| Included operating states | State whether loading, waiting, cutting and other relevant activity fall within the window. Identify differences from the comparison job. |
| Readings and validity | Provide beginning/end counter values or the identified measured result. State whether resets, rollover or missing intervals affect the record. |
| Output denominator | Identify completed and accepted quantities attributable to the same job and window, with the acceptance basis. Keep unconfirmed acceptance separate. |
| Result and remaining exclusions | State recorded kWh and, where supported, kWh per accepted part. Preserve exclusions and questions still awaiting a named provider’s reply. |
The responsible provider should identify the measurement arrangement and whether it supports the stated result. The buyer is requesting records, not instructions to connect a meter, open a panel or change a circuit. A missing result remains unknown rather than being filled from a nameplate.
A smaller result can describe a smaller boundary
Every value below is invented for arithmetic illustration. These are not customer records, OEM ratings, JiurunCut measurements or expected production figures. Assume the same stated job, acceptance criteria and start/end event definitions for both records. Their equipment boundaries deliberately differ.
The example assumes valid counters with no resets, rollover or missing intervals. Each accepted quantity belongs to the work produced within its recorded window; rejected or unfinished pieces are not counted as accepted.
| Item | Record A | Record B |
|---|---|---|
| Reported measurement boundary | Saw plus a separate extractor | Saw only; extractor excluded |
| Agreed recorded period | 60 minutes | 60 minutes |
| Energy counter at start | 1,000.0 kWh | 2,000.0 kWh |
| Energy counter at end | 1,003.6 kWh | 2,002.7 kWh |
| Recorded energy difference | 3.6 kWh | 2.7 kWh |
| Accepted parts from that period | 300 | 300 |
| Recorded kWh per accepted part | 0.012 | 0.009 |
Recorded energy = ending counter − beginning counter. Keeping both readings in kWh gives 1,003.6 − 1,000.0 = 3.6 kWh for A and 2,002.7 − 2,000.0 = 2.7 kWh for B.
Recorded energy per accepted part = recorded energy / accepted quantity for that window. Thus 3.6 / 300 = 0.012 kWh per accepted part, while 2.7 / 300 = 0.009.
The example reports kWh to one decimal place and kWh per accepted part to three; these divisions are exact at the displayed precision. For an actual quotient, state the decimal places and rounding rule, and round the displayed result only after division. Do not imply precision unsupported by the readings. If the accepted quantity is zero or unconfirmed, leave the per-part result pending instead of dividing by that value.
B’s displayed result is smaller, but it does not establish lower energy consumption for the same equipment boundary. Request comparable measurements with a common boundary, or a supported breakdown that permits a like-for-like comparison. Do not estimate the extractor’s contribution from its drive rating or attribute the entire difference between the two records to it.
Assume both examples also exclude site compressed-air generation and other unmeasured services. Excluded does not mean zero. These figures are not total plant-energy results, and an air-volume entry cannot fill the missing electrical-energy measurement.

Resolve the missing scope before ranking machines
Classify the answer by what remains unresolved. Matching boundaries with adequate job records can support a comparison of those recorded conditions. A known boundary difference needs comparable evidence. An unexplained period, incomplete counter record or unconfirmed accepted quantity leaves the result pending.
Keep the calculation and its scope together whenever the figure is forwarded. Do not present a narrower result as whole-system consumption or scale one illustration into a guaranteed annual electricity bill. Different future jobs and operating periods require their own basis.
An illustrative buyer reply can read:
Please identify the equipment included in the energy result, the start and end events, the stated job and the accepted-part count. Name excluded auxiliaries or services, and provide the measurement reference and calculation basis. Where the two offers use different boundaries, please identify the additional evidence needed for the same-scope comparison.
Send the job and reported energy scope with your inquiry
Share the proposed saw configuration, actual cutting task, available energy statement and the comparison you need to make. Identify missing readings, excluded equipment and unanswered scope questions. Incomplete information can start a discussion.
Clarify My Saw Energy Comparison
Ask what evidence can be provided for the specific proposal and who supplies it. This article does not establish that JiurunCut offers installed meters, energy testing, Siemens integration or an energy-saving guarantee.
