Drawing Checklist
Use the details you already have. Mark unknown items as “to be confirmed”; you do not need a complete drawing to start a conversation.
Show the profile and finished part
- A cross-section drawing or clear photograph of the cut end.
- Outside dimensions, wall thickness and any delicate surfaces.
- Material specification, when known.
- A drawing or sketch of the part after cutting.
Describe the cuts and quantities
- Finished length and quantity for each part.
- Angles and the face or edge used as the measuring reference.
- Incoming stock length, when known.
- Whether jobs repeat or change frequently.
Explain what the finished part must meet
- Required dimensions and tolerances from the part drawing.
- Surfaces that must be protected from marks or deformation.
- How the part is assembled, handled or inspected next.
- Any current burrs, inconsistent cuts or material waste you want to discuss.
Agree what to check before choosing
- Profile support and clamping for the actual section.
- The supplied feeding, cutting and collection workflow.
- What is included in the proposal and what is optional.
- A representative sample-check plan and agreed acceptance criteria.
This checklist helps prepare a discussion. Machine suitability and sample acceptance must be confirmed for the actual profile, configuration and cutting requirements.
